Skin that glows is the correct recipe, so enjoy these DIY masks that are sure to bring out the sunshine and glow of your skin:
1. Turmeric Mask
For ages, Indians have been using turmeric to improve the appearance of their skin. In fact, when a woman gets married a turmeric mask is applied all over the body the night before her nuptials to ensure she glows exceptionally.
Ingredients:
- 1 heaping tablespoon of turmeric
- 1 heaping tablespoon of Greek yogurt
- Optional (add one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar for added skin benefits)
Combine and apply over the face or for a whole body treatment, increase the amounts and apply in troublesome areas or all over. Leave on for about 15-20 minutes.
Use warm water to remove or remove when you shower.
*Be mindful of turmeric since it stains easily.
2. Honey Mask
Raw unfiltered honey will fight those troublesome pimples and acne. These ingredients are probably in your pantries right now.
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon of Greek Yogurt
- 1 tablespoon of raw honey
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
Combine and apply to skin. Leave on for 15 minutes, then rinse off.
3. Avocado Mask
If your skin constantly dries out, then an avocado mask is for you! Avocado will leave your skin feeling nourished and hydrated.
Ingredients:
- 1 avocado mashed
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Mash the avocado smoothly and mix the remaining ingredients. Apply and leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse and wash face throughly.
4. Almond Mask
When almonds are grounded they aid as a gentle exfoliator for your skin. It will shed old skin and reveal healthy, glowing skin.
Ingredients:
- A handful of almonds finely grounded
- 2-3 tablespoons of honey or aloe vera gel
- Half a banana
Mash, combine and spread evenly over your face. Leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water.
5. Moroccan Red Clay Mask
