It can easily be every woman’s beauty hazard. If you’re a lover of makeup products and have accumulated quite the collection, you know this mess becomes an eye sore that’s never alleviated unless organized.

1. Get Rid of Anything Not in Use!
Are you a beauty hoarder? Do you hold on to unused makeup and accessories for years and years and years?? I can’t claim to be innocent of this beauty faux pas.
Take the time to go through your makeup collection. Identify your must keep pieces and the ones that simply have either gone bad or no longer serve their purpose.

No matter your price point, there’s a makeup organizer that will fit your needs. Whether you choose an Amazon organizer that is priced under $15 or a sturdier piece priced over $100 from Wayfair, is completely up to you.
Makeup organizers help with putting everything in it’s place. Your brushes, foundation, lipsticks, powders and mascara will all have their homes and never become displaced.
3. Clean Your Accoutrements
This process is more than just finding a space to permanently host makeup and accessories. It’s about going the distance, cleaning and sanitizing your containers, bottles, and especially your brushes. Anything that goes on your face ought to be cleaned regularly. Imagine the feeling of having a neat and clean makeup space.
This is the biggest makeup time hack. Your accoutrements will have their place plus be sanitized. In addition, you’ll no longer fumble to find your favorite lipstick or eyeliner when rushing out the door to your job, business, appointments or errands.
4. Marry Similar Pieces
Put all the mascaras, concealers, lipsticks and such together. Take the guessing completely out of the makeup rendezvous between you and the beauty in the mirror. Maybe go a bit further and coordinate your lip glosses, eye color palettes and accessories. Just imagine if you had to reach out to grasp an eye liner without looking. You’d probably guess the general vicinity of its location.
5. Light It Up
Seeing is believing and yes, knowing exactly what is happening on that beautiful face of yours. Install lighting around your large bathroom mirror or buy a lighted mirror. Lighted mirrors range from $17 to about $40.
